Calibration, design, engineering.

ESC backs its catalog with the services source-testing professionals rely on: an EPA-audited calibration wind tunnel, custom equipment design to your specification, and the engineering discipline behind every standard product we ship.

01

Calibration

WIND TUNNEL · CERTIFIED TO METHOD 2F

Wind tunnel calibration

ESC provides wind tunnel calibration services for a variety of probes at various flow conditions. Our on-site wind tunnel is certified to the requirements stated in Method 2F for calibration of three-dimensional probes, and has been audited by the EPA for accuracy and compliance on 3D Pitot and S-Type calibrations.

The typical three-dimensional probe calibration is performed at 60 and 90 feet per second while moving the probe through simulated pitch angles; a third velocity can be added to improve calibration data for lower test velocities. All probe calibrations use electronic pressure transducers and computer data acquisition. One Method 2F and two Method 2H calculation spreadsheets are included with each 3D wind tunnel calibration.

Also calibrated in-house

Consoles · Dry gas meters · Critical orifices · S-Type & 3D Pitots

We routinely calibrate Pitots and apparatus from other manufacturers as well; contact us for a professional evaluation.

Design

CUSTOM EQUIPMENT · YOUR SPECIFICATION

ESC is in the business of delivering timely solutions to specific requirements. We design, develop, and manufacture unique equipment and custom systems to fulfill special applications, conforming to your specifications and your design. Tell us the requirement and we will recommend the best solution and value for the job.

03

Engineering

STANDARD EPA-METHOD EQUIPMENT

ESC engineers and manufactures source-testing equipment that fulfills or surpasses the technical and operational requirements specified by the U.S. EPA for the Stationary Source Testing Methods. Systems are engineered for reliability, ease of use, and long operating life, and standard equipment is stocked ready to ship.

Products may differ from catalog or website representations due to design changes and improvements: ESC regularly reviews the design and function of existing products based on field use and modifies equipment in response to regulatory changes, to improve performance, prolong operating life, ease parts replacement, or expedite delivery.
